BICHENER Lillian (nee Cotterill) - March 25,
1950 - July 21, 2010 -- Peacefully at her
home with her family by her side on Wednesday,
July 21, 2010, after a lengthy, courageous
battle with cancer, showing remarkable
strength and determination
throughout. Lillian, beloved wife of Fred Bichener
for 38 years. Loving mother of Kimberley
and Steven. Dearly missed by her siblings
Shirley (Doug Austin), Frances (Gerald
McKenzie), Hilda (Don Harris), Dolores Poisson
(James Doran), Barbara (Phil Smith),
Harold Cotterill (Glenna), Derrick Cotterill
(Jane), Ernie Fowler (Joyce) and her sisterin-
law Betty (Fred Lockrey). Predeceased by
her parents Mary and Harold Cotterill). Much
loved aunt and great-aunt of many nieces
and nephews, too numerous to mention. Lillian
will be lovingly remembered by her special
friends Linda and Gary Gifford, Debbie
and Mel Carter, friends and neighbours. A
special thanks to the homecare workers and
nurses at the Lakeridge Health Oshawa Palliative
Care for their care and support.
Friends will be received at MOUNT LAWN
RECEPTION CENTRE, 21 Garrard Road,
Whitby (north of hwy 2) on Saturday, July 24,
2010 from 6-8 pm. and Sunday, July 25,
2010 from 3-5 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass in St.
John the Evangelist Catholic Church (903
Gifford Street, Whitby) on Monday, July 26,
2010 at 10 am. Interment Mount Lawn Memorial
Gardens. In lieu of fl owers, donations
to Lakeridge Health Oshawa, Palliative Care
Unit.
